Meet SpenceR
What's up, people! Looks like you guys are in the right place.
So, you've come to yet another portfolio website of a young creative trying to make a name for himself... Let me tell you a little bit about the kind of person/student/creative/professional (in-training) I am:
I'm a recent graduate from the University of Colorado Boulder preparing to take life by the reins. Eager to dive into today's modern workforce, I value human interaction, creative collaboration, leaving an impact wherever I go, and a curiosity to continually learn new information and skills.
Other than that, I have an interest in working abroad someday to continue my studies of the Spanish language and further expand my worldly view. I enjoy warm weather and sunshine, creating lifelong memories with friends and family, aesthetic/visually pleasing designs, traveling, photography, and bustin' a move to just about any song.
Education
Upon graduating in summer 2019, I completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Integrative Physiology with minors in Spanish and Technology, Arts & Media (TAM). I'm thoroughly intrigued by the physiological systems of the human body and their relationship with human health and disease, as I was initially pursuing a pre-med career during my earlier years at CU. That shifted as I noticed an unwavering desire to work in the creative world, which is why I added TAM as a minor.
Experience
Apart from my education and recent graduation, I've found myself remarkably excited—and perhaps slightly nervous—to watch the next journey of life unfold before my eyes. I'm eager to work purposefully so that things fall into place. Things falling into place means pursuing a career in a creative-based industry. I am interested in careers related to graphic & multimedia design, art direction, product design, marketing, and other similar fields; my ultimate goal is to obtain roles that will eventually lead me down the path of becoming a Creative Director. So far, my journey has consisted of working as a Marketing & Design Intern for TEEM, a marketing agency in Denver, Colorado specializing in bringing brands to life and telling their stories. By collaborating with TEEM's talented team members, I learned what it takes for a marketing agency to succeed. I'm thoroughly passionate to keep working in a similar field and find full-time work in the coming months.
Since graduation, I've come across several freelance opportunities, and the idea of freelancing continues to peak my interest due to being in control of my own time (well, at least for the time being). I have been a freelance photographer for over a year now, and I've also expanded my breadth of work and services provided to clients: branding, logo design, creative content, strategy, storytelling, and web development. The following list is a description of the projects I've worked on thus far:
• Took professional photos for client projects and photo shoots. Types of projects included senior photos, headshots, lifestyle photography, and product photography.
• Edited all photos in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.
• Created and designed aesthetic, functional websites for clients in Squarespace. Key factors were of utmost importance: well-thought-out UX/UI design, current SEO trends and guidelines, KPIs to monitor success and analytics of clients' businesses, mobile responsivity, cohesive design, and more.
• Led social media and email marketing on multiple platforms, created content and followed a content calendar, and generated prospective leads for clients' businesses. Marketing executions included in-depth usage of Facebook Business Manager, Instagram for Businesses, and Constant Contact.
• Designed printed collateral, such as brochures and business cards.
• Managed healthy client relations through email. Exchanged deliverable photos and projects through Google Drive.

Let's Chat
Feel free to reach out if you'd like to see other project examples that may not be posted here (hey, I'm a busy guy). I'd love to chat about cool new projects and possible opportunities, so I think we should perhaps connect and grab some coffee or something?? Yeah, that sounds like a good plan. Take care, friends and fam, take care.
